About Society

WARSA: Ethnic Knowledge Heritage Society is registered NGO working for Tribal and Rural Communities. Our traditional / ethnic knowledge is vast, touching every angle of life. Main objectives of the society are to create awareness about this knowledge, its documentation and to provide research based strong foundation to our activities. Cultivation of medicinal plants, their standardization, authentication of traditional health practices and to make efforts to provide authorized certification to the traditional healers is our aim.

Another rich area of our traditional culture is wild edibles. Creating awareness about their uses, nutritional evaluation of these edibles and their cultivation is another important objective.

All these activities will be carried out in collaboration with Government, Non Government Organizations, Colleges, Registered societies and Private Limited related Companies. All executive members of the society are botanists working on different aspects of the subject related to aims and objectives of the society.
